»And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.« Colossians 3,17
This is the spirit in which the Working Group of Church Investors (AKI) advocates that church and diaconal activities in the field of investments are in accord with God’s Commandments and the respective mission not contradicting them. It implies that investments not only pursue economic but also ethically-sustainable goals. Money shall be invested securely and profitably in consideration of Christian values and wider stakeholders: society, the environment and future generations.
Institutional investors in the realm of the Protestant Church and Diaconia in Germany who share and wish to promote the concerns of AKI can become members. Church institutional investors in the realm of the Council of Christian Churches in Germany (ACK) and from abroad and organisations representing such investors can become partners as well.
As a joint initiative of church investors (including the diaconal institutional investors) AKI does not substitute the activities of its members and partners in their process, but rather supports and supplements these.
